The Project: 

Assystem are looking for an experienced Project Director professional to work within the project delivery team. The initial purpose of the role is to lead to identification, definition, and formalisation of the scope of the programme, involving revolutionary nuclear energy infrastructure. 

The Role: 

You will lead large high profile projects and establish a project delivery structure that will effectively deliver each project, ensuring that roles and responsibilities are appropriately assigned and that the team are held accountable for their deliverables. 

You will be accountable for the preparation of project budgets and effectively manages and reports using the project cost control system; commitments, expenditure, forecasts and changes against the budget.

Specific responsibilities:

• Responsible for the interface with the Engineering Team Leads to identify and report; progress, scope changes, meeting actions, issues and risks.
• Identify and take all necessary corrective action to achieve project objectives.
• Accountable for the development implementation and maintenance of project communications plans including project reporting requirements.

Les missions du stage
Vous viendrez en renfort de l’équipe en intervenant sur les missions suivantes :

Mechanical Piping Engineer – Building Services

These include steam heating and condensate, chilled and cooling water, potable and non-potable water, hot water, compressed air & mask /  breathing air, services to / from HVAC systems, dry riser and above ground drainage.
In addition you would be required to produce drawings & calculations and prepare technical reports, assessments and other miscellaneous documents supporting the piping design process.

To provide planning services to project managers, including where relevant, input and coordination of sub consultants programmes to ensure delivery is consistent and effective. 
 
Responsibilities: 
Provide an effective planning and reporting service to project managers and sponsors. 
Facilitate the production of the project WBS, including activities, budget allocation, logic, resource allocation, critical path analysis, etc. 
Prepare, monitor, forecast and report on baseline and working schedules during all project phases including input during estimating phases. 
Prepare, monitor, forecast and report on resource loading across multiple programmes/portfolios. 
Establish and maintain a basis of schedule for all schedules produced. 
Ensure all applicable schedule activities have `rules of credit’ and `quantity tracking’ mechanisms established. 
Identify and track all changes or potential changes to the project baseline and subsequent underpinning of change control mechanisms. 
Prepare progress reports, including earned value analysis, identifying critical areas and trends and recommend recovery options. 
Maintain the planning database and validate data across systems. 
Provide the required information to support the risk process. 
Provide project outturns against baseline for LFE and Knowledge Management.

Principal Accountabilities
Engage with Plant personnel and review documentation to:
Provide CE&I related Safety Case experience and knowledge to the reviews undertaken as part of plants transition to and undertaking POCO.
Undertake a review of the current POCO target states
Review and define POCO Tasks and sequences
Prepare for and anticipate in scoping reviews
Assist in the production of Safety Case Summary documentation e.g. Single Source Fault Schedule
Support Safety Case documentation through its approval processes.
Undertake a review of the current operational safety case and compare to POCO activities and requirements
Determine the impact of any required changes to the current Safety Case
Assist in the development of an Improvement Plan with applicable review actions
Assist in the development of any associated Overarching Strategy Paper
Assists in the production of the review report, the Safety Case Summary Report
