Key responsibilities include:
Acting as the focal point for all aspects related to the packages of work and provide information necessary to make management decisions to the key stakeholders.
Ensuring project controls processes are effectively deployed and maintained for all work through the lifecycle of the project’s delivery.
Coordinating work across the delivery business units alongside a Tech lead, in line with agreed project controls processes and controlling activities including gated reviews, monitoring, priorities, dependencies, procurement, quality, work authorisation, change control, approvals and stakeholder management.
Developing detailed plans alongside the planning function to meet the overall project and business unit objectives, ensuring they are realistic and delivered to.
Supporting contract/project/control account reviews by producing management reports. This will be for both internal and external reviews and cover all aspects of control account progress against plan, resource, risk and deliverables.
Providing input to financial management, including monthly monitoring, quarterly forecasts, budgets, estimates to complete and invoicing.
Qualifications and experience required to apply for the role:
Degree in a relevant engineering or business discipline or equivalent level of continuous professional development and experience (ideally in the defence engineering environment).
Project Management experience, showing an understanding of the project lifecycle, risk management, cost management, planning and programming.
Good understanding of engineering and/or operations activities.
A working knowledge of SAP and/or scheduling tools in relation to project activities is desirable.
APMP or PRINCE 2 qualifications would be desirable.
Ability to work with minimum supervision in order to deliver results and to work in ambiguous situations, whilst working to tight timescales and achieving quality outputs on time.
Have a proven track record in project delivery and the ability to operate in a complex environment

As part of a team, the Lead Planner will define standards, scheduling governance and assurance, implement the planning process and maintain Primavera P6 for the assigned work scope.

Collect programme status information to maintain and update schedules and issue management information as required. 
Update progress against the schedule and reforecast as required. 
Load and Capacity – Maintain and update resource schedules (at team level), advising on resource clashes and potential issues.
Integrate risk and schedule by developing schedules that include activities, time and resource estimates for risk mitigation.
Provide planning standards and process support and guidance to the project team.
Implement a governance and assurance regime.

Qualifications and experience required to apply for the role:
Experience of working in an Integrated Project Team environment ideally gained within the engineering/manufacturing sector
Working towards a related professional qualification (APM) or entry level qualification (HND or Foundation Degree)
Experience of developing schedules of work involving multiple projects using Primavera P6
Adapt to changes in the working environment, managing competing demands to make the best use of time and resources
Ability to deliver accurate work within service level agreements and use initiative to work through issues and barriers

Responsibilities
·         Maintain good collaborative working relationship with the client
·         Production of DSA Task Order (TO) Responses.
·         Production of TO Response supporting documents; Estimates, Organisation Charts and Risk Registers.
·         Production of task cost estimates for reimbursable and TCIF contracts.
·         Ensuring the estimate satisfies the scope of work stated within the Task Order Request, Employee Instruction, PICD or Change Event.
·         NEC3 Contract Management using CEMAR.
·         Drafting Executive Summaries when required to support TRRA approval.
·         Tracking the performance of the TCIF Contracts
·         Able to generate Replicon Reports as and when required.
·         Interfacing with the Client; Project Managers, Project Engineering Managers, Planners, Cost Engineers and discipline Responsible Engineers
·         Obtaining quotations from our supply chain.

Assystem require a Principal EC&I Designer on a long-term contract to lead and support Nuclear Decommissioning Project. This role has an ASAP start. The requirement is for an experienced PDMS CE&I Designer to lead existing Design capabilities within a critical decommissioning project.
Responsible for the following:
·         Design of installable CE&I cable route infrastructure / plant layouts that can be safely installed and subsequently populated with cables.
·         Ensuring all relevant standards, instructions and specifications are applied.
·         Interfacing with other disciplines to ensure optimised design.
·         Production of various deliverables, e.g. isometrics, general arrangements.
·         Checking of other designers’ deliverables.
Essential Experience
·         Experienced PDMS user, particularly in CE&I aspects including the production of automated drawings from the 3D model.
·         Substantial experience of CE&I design working within a highly regulated industry.
·         Fully conversant with UK Statutory Regulations and industry guides and standards relating to this discipline.
·         It would also be an advantage to be familiar with the relevant Nuclear Decommissioning standards
·         Essential skills – PDMS, Navisworks Freedom Viewer, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office suite of programmes.
Desirable skills – CAESAR/Aveva experience
