Assystem Energy & Infrastructure
Assystem require a GIS Analyst to work within our Nuclear Division, providing technical input into the creation, analysis and management of spatial datasets and web mapping content. The role will be working in collaboration with Nuclear Engineering teams to define site Decommissioning activity.
The scope of the work includes but is not limited to:
Requirements Capture: Work with the GIS Business Analyst to support project deliverables, define the end-users of a GIS platform, facilitate and support the capture of end-user requirements and support the capture of data requirements including existing data availability, data gaps, data standards and data update mechanisms.
Stakeholder Engagement: Support the GIS Business Analyst in engaging with the technical stakeholders. Preparation of workshops and documentation of the current status in GIS capability of the nuclear site. The initial work may be ascertained from an initial workshop however there may be a requirement to visit individual sites to get a better understanding of the sites capability which will need to include: existing GIS data, CAD data, building registers, reporting procedures, GIS resources / skills and GIS IT infrastructure.
Development of GIS products: datasets / maps / apps / dashboards to present spatial information as per user requirements in line with the mission progress key strategic themes including spent fuels, nuclear materials, integrated work management, site decommissioning and remediation and critical enablers.
· Advanced skills in GIS, especially ArcGIS Desktop expertise
· Experience using ArcGIS Online
· Spatial analysis methods and techniques expertise
· Digital cartography / web mapping expertise
· Spatial data creation and editing expertise
· Experience in capturing GIS requirements
· Experience using FME
